Portland Feeds Me Again

It has been a while since we have been trying to get to Olympic Provisions for lunch.  We finally made it and what a treat! Fresh Pea Salad Very affordable and delicious lunch, and at the same time, quite entertaining to watch the line cooks as well as prep cooks, going about their tasks at a nice, comfortable pace, doing things they love.  Stuffing casings with ground meat, taste testing patties of fresh made chorizo, scraping meat off large bones…  I was in a happy place.

 Charcuterie Platter

Dinner at Yakuza offered a tasty Kobe Tartare, with a fried poached egg and an asian flare.  Many delicious rolls, Fried Scallops, and a great burger.

The Weather was so nice, we had to fire up the grill.  Gartners provided marinated beef and pork shortribs, pork tenderloin, and a measurable slab of bacon!Grilled Bacon Chunks with Grilled Pears, Balsamic, and Grilled Lemons
