Revisiting Portland Favorites

This past weekend, we headed down to Portland, just for a day, for a day of celebrating food and beverage.  On the list were: 2 boots of beer at Prost, lunch at Eat Oyster Bar, Dinner at Toro Bravo (which was amazing… again), and ended with Breakfast at Tasty and Sons.  We are all hung-over… so we start the morning with Bloody Marys.  They have a selection that gives you the options of: Beef Jerky, Hoisin and Shriracha with candied ginger, or as seen in this picture, one that comes with a baby sized beer!  Also I enjoyed a man-mosa with some orange booze in it!

As a little baby brother restaurant of Toro Bravo, the menu is breakfast and lunch, and can be ordered as small plates to share with the table, or keep em to yourself.  We had to start off with Griddled Bacon Wrapped Dates!

And on to the Meatloaf Sandwich with Fried Egg.  And lastly.. Burmese Pork Stew.  Holy Crap!!  This Burmese stew is like the best teriyaki bowl you have ever had in your life!  A bowl of rice, topped with two kinds of pork, one which is a sweet and spicy pork belly, and topped with eggs two ways… i'm full and ready for a nap on the drive back to Seattle.
