Daddy-Daughter Date at Tablas Mill Creek
Saturday, July 23 Eliana and I really wanted to go get some delicious food for a dinner date for the two of us. Dreading the traffic and reservations, I did not want to head to Downtown Seattle. We chose to try a place we haven’t been before, nearby in Mill Creek Town Center. Tablas Woodstone Taverna We got our date gear on and headed out with the mission to fill our guts. While on one of my Portland trips, I was informed that Eliana had tasted lamb and said, “ This tastes better than cow!!”. So our first order was some lamb chops.
Eliana ate her half and had no comments besides kudos to the chef. Instead of spending my way through the tapas menu, Tablas offers (in addition to the small plate, traditional tapas style menu) the Tablas menu, a menu choosing from seafood, meat, etc... for the whole table. So we went with the “Surf” Tablas and devoured a wooden plank of a plate that included clams, mussels, calamari, fish, papas bravas, salad, Bacon Wrapped Scrimps, and some cheesey dumpling thingies….
We totally ate almost all of it.
Then our awesome server, Jesus, brought Eliana an “on the house” cup of chocolate cake and topped off our dinner date.
Shocked that somewhere so close to us has been serving tapas all along and we are so far behind the times to have tried it. Dinner was incredible and I’m stoked for the next chance to head in there and clear that menu off in my belly
