Seattle Mobile Food Rodeo

So we got some tickets for the Seattle Mobile Food Rodeo.  It is a day set up for us to enjoy about 20 Seattle Food Trucks, which would compare to one of many lots in Portland on pretty much, every day.  Apparently there’s been some sort of legislation change that is going to benefit the food truck businesses.

The adventure starts with a 40 minute wait in a line about four blocks long.  We make it in, and it is time to wait in more lines to order food.  A plan is devised to get us more food in less waiting time.  We split up to wait in separate lines and reconvene with edibles.  Step one; find pork…

Round one entails a Pork Slider with Habanero Honey and a Picadillo; ground beef with raisins, onions, peppers, tomatoes, olives and tomatillo on top of rice with a smashed fried plantain (we eat two of those!)  Thank you Snout &Co. The plan is working as we met up at the exact same time and now arrives chicken tacos and a chicken torta from Flair Taco

Where Ya At Matt is out of jumbalaya, gumbo, and beignets so we opt for Lumpia and Pansit from Lumpia World. I feel at home surrounded by Filipinos, lumpia, pansit, and vinegar.

Mmmm, Ice cream sammies?  With all these crazy lines of people, trucks are running out of foods.  So I got a mixed oatmeal cookie and snickerdoodle with chocolate ice cream and Maiya gets molasses cookies with chocolate from Street Treats

Behold!  Maximus/Minumus

Im full. Dammit, Where Ya At Matt has replenished their stock of jumbalaya, gumbo, and beignets again!  Cant wait in line for that long when im this full…. I will have to visit them on a normal day.
